DNA/RNA synthesizers from BIOSSET are fully automated instruments for the synthesis of natural and modified oligonucleotides. They have been specially designed to meet requirements for efficiency, economy, and reliability both in the batch production of oligonucleotides and scientific research.

BIOSSET produces ASM-2000
DNA/RNA Synthesizer:

  •   An efficient synthesis of standard, degenerate, and
      modified DNA&RNA oligonucleotides
  •   Convenient synthesis format: 96 well plate or columns
  •   Wide range of monomer ports: 12 bottles and 20 tubes
  •   Trityl collection system
  •   Friendly and flexible software
  •   High-performance device for a moderate price

The ASM-2000 high-throughput DNA/RNA synthesizer allows the parallel synthesis of the 96 sequences of standard, degenerate or modified DNA and RNA for many applications such as sequencing, genetic analysis, PCR- and probe-based hybridization assays, gene building, siRNA, aptamers, probes etc. ASM-2000 is specially designed for producing hundreds of oligonucleotides with low operation cost.
The monitoring of synthesis quality is provided by trityl collection system.
In comparison with analogues ASM-2000 is equipped with dispense tool for transfer the special reagents (biotin, fluorescein and other) from tubes to synthesis wells/columns. This tool completely avoids the losses of reagents for the filling of the liquid channels.

ASM-2000 DNA/RNA Synthesizer features:

  •   Efficiency: 96 oligonucleotides in 3 hours
  •   Synthesis scales: 10 - 1000 nmol
  •   Synthesis format: columns or 96 well plate
  •   Length of oligonucleotides: up to 150 mer
  •   Coupling efficiency: more than 98,5%
  •   Amidite ports: 4 bottles with volume 125/250 mL, 8 bottles with volume 10/25 mL and 20 tubes with volume 0,3 mL
  •   Number of bottles for ancillary solvents and reagents: 9
  •   Control by IBM PC with operation system Windows-XP / Windows7
  •   Tools for cleavage and deprotection
  •   Power requirement: 110 - 240 V, 50 - 60 Hz
  •   Dimensions (wide x deep x high), mm: 1000 x 750 x 1620
  •   Weight: 200 kG

One-year warranty on parts and operation.

The synthesizer successfully operates with reagents of world-wide producers: Glen Research, Link technologies, Biosearch Technologies, EMD Chemicals, Applied Biosystems, Amersham Biosciences, Sigma-Aldrich, etc.
Original design of ASM-2000 allows to synthesize high-quality oligonucleotides with minimal reagent consumption.

ASM-800 DNA/RNA Synthesizer:

  •   An efficient synthesis of standard, degenerate
    and modified oligonucleotides
  •   Up to 16 oligonucleotides of high quality per 8 hours
  •   Cost per base < $0.10
  •   Easy and reliable instrument for a reasonable price

ASM-800 DNA/RNA synthesizer is a high-efficient instrument for using in a wide field of research. The instrument allows cost efficient synthesis of standard and degenerate DNA, RNA, DNA-RNA chimeras, phosphorothioate DNA and DNA containing various groups (TET, 6-FAM, HEX, biotin, Cy 3, Cy 5, etc.) to be performed. Eight different oligonucleotides can be simultaneously synthesized for 3.5 hours on eight columns. The instrument can be successfully used for the synthesis of oligonucleotides with the length up to 250 nt. The ASM-800 ensures the extremely economical consumption of reagents and solvents.

ASM-800 DNA/RNA Synthesizer features:

High-precise delivery of reagents
Reagents and solvents are delivered to the synthesis columns by metering syringe pump with a flow step of 1µl and a wide range of flow rate.

Wide range of synthesis scales
Easily removable columns allow the synthesis in scales 40 - 400 nmol. The synthesis protocols are fully adaptable for each scale and ensure the accurate synthesis with minimum reagents/solvents consumption.

Thermal stability
The built-in thermostat with the heating element stabilizes reaction conditions, decreases total time of the synthesis and consumption of reagents/solvents.

Convenient set of bottles
The synthesizer is equipped with four bottles for standard phosphoramidites, four bottles for special phosphoramidites (biotin, fluorescein and others), two bottles for activators (tetrazole and the other) and eight bottles for ancillary regents/solvents. For the large scale synthesis, the bottles for activators and ancillary reagents can be easily replaced with more sizable (up to 4.3 L) bottles.

Reagent compatibility
The synthesizer successfully operates with reagents of world-wide producers: Applied Biosystems, Azco Biotech, Beckman, Glen Research, Prime Synthesis, Proligo, etc.

Friendly and flexible computer control
The synthesizer is controlled by IBM PC running under Windows XP / Windows 7. Friendly software operates on all the synthesis stages, including run, preparation, testing, manual, and shutdown procedures. Synthesis protocols and oligonucleotide sequences are disk-stored and can be easily modified and transfered from your database to the synthesizer. Flexible programming offers an opportunity of the synthesis of new nucleic acid analogs and development of new chemistries.

Built-in diagnostics
ASM-800 is equipped with an automatic system for operative diagnostics of all units: valves, pump, thermostat, electronic control unit, etc.
